1956 was the second year for the first generation, two passenger Thunderbird and the demand for these little classics is higher now than ever before. Our latest aquisition boasts a straight, solid body on rock solid floors and chassis, and has been complimented with a gorgeous Raven Black enamel repaint. The chrome on the front and rear bumpers are in excellent original condition and miscellaneous trim items have been replaced with new. Inside the bird nest you'll find a reupholstered seat with replacement carpets, door and trim panels among the original dash pad which is in outstanding condition. Keeping the weather out is a repainted removable hardtop with portholes as well as a new fold away convertible soft top. This bird flys with the aid of a strong running and peppy 312CID 4BBL V-8 linked to a smooth shifting automatic transmission, which are all nestled into a meticulously detailed engine bay. Power Options and Amenities include 312 V-8, 4BBL Carb, Auto Transmission, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, Power Seat, AM/FM Cassette, Fender Skirts with Stone Shields, Continental Kit, Removable Hard Top and Fold Away Soft Top. Production for 1956 stopped at a mere 15,631 units and far fewer remain today. This little classic is ideal for cruise night or will get bragging rights at the shows.
