1963 was the last year of the "Round Bird" body style and production of the convertible dropped to a mere 5913 units. This made the 63 the rarest of the three years that this body style was produced. This outstanding car was treated to a ground up restoration here in our own facility. The straight, solid body was stripped down to the metal and complimented with a complete repaint of gorgeous "Silver Mink"metallic acrylic enamel. The rear bumper was rechromed, and the front bumper, stainless steel trim, emblems, scripts, grill etc., are all in exemplary "original" condition. A new convertible top seals out the elements and fully retracts into a beautifully detailed trunk compartment. Inside, the restoration continued with reupholstered seats, new carpets and new door panels. The dash pad and rear trim panels are original and in excellent condition. Under the hood, things are thrust forward with a strong and potent 390 CID V-8, linked to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. The engine and engine bay have been beautifully detailed for the shows. Power options and amenities include Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Cold Air Conditioning, Rare Power Door Locks, Dual Power Seats, Factory AM/FM Radio, Tinted Glass, Fender Skirts and Radial Tires mounted on Roadster Style Wire Wheels. The 63 T-Bird Convertible is highly sought after by Bird enthusiasts not only because of its style and low production number, but because the body line that runs through the middle of the car from the nose to the door was exclusive for 63 and sets itself apart from the 61 and 62. Not only does this car boast a rock solid original body and chassis, but it is loaded with just about every power option available for that year. This car runs and drives as nice as it looks and is ready to "Wow Em" at the shows!
